Despite the medical roller coaster and still needing to be on the ventilator and being weak, weary and tired, Pastor Tom Higgins continues to fight the good fight toward healing and wholeness. Sunday on the actual 50th anniversary of his ordination hospital staff allowed Pastor Tom's family to spend time with him as a small group to mark and give thanks for the day. His nephew was granted permission play a few pieces on the violin in Tom's ICU room during those very special moments. Today (Wednesday 6/14/17)) there were several small steps in a positive direction though a lingering cough and continued weakness mean for now use of the ventilator is medically best for him. Our best gift in this slow recovery process continues to be holding and lifting Tom and his medical team in prayer and thought as often as possible. Shalom, Rev. Dianna Niemann-Harris
